Synopsis:

CBC Kids News hosted a live back-to-school event within a Minecraft server/world. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, hosting a virtual event in a space that many kids turned to for socializing, learning and entertainment was a way to meet the audience where they were. The virtual town hall featured celebrities and a medical expert to answer kids’ questions, and kids from across Canada shared their back-to-school-during-a-pandemic stories.
