Mr. D begins where last season left off, with Gerry and Lisa coping with the aftermath of their horrific, drunken nuptials. The duo must navigate the minefield of their relationship and in the end land on an unorthodox agreement that blurs the line between teacher and boss, man and wife and happiness and misery. At the same time, Gerry forges ahead in his misguided efforts to somehow finally win the Phys. Ed. position that has eluded him for so long. Meanwhile, Robert (Jonathan Torrens) will find himself fulfilling a couple of his own lifelong dreams, reaching new heights both personally and professionally.
