Synopsis:
Sabrina Sohal is a star rookie police officer who must grapple with the limits of the justice system as she fights to exonerate her falsely accused politician father, and serve her diverse hometown alongside a veteran training officer who sees her potential but doesn’t always agree with her forward-thinking methods. This is the story of a young woman caught between her allegiance to her flag, to her badge, and to her family. It is about identity and belonging, policing and politics, and finding truth within the heart of a flawed justice system.
Episode Synopsis:
With Vince off on injury leave, Sabrina rides with her rival Luke and his mercurial training officer Gabby, kicking off a shift of both rookies competing for his praise. The day escalates after a deadly batch of fentanyl-laced heroin hits the streets. Following the source of the spiked drugs leads them to a grieving mother whose daughter was a victim of the opioid crisis, and who, in response, has started openly selling clean, illegal drugs out of her store... but the spiked heroin suggests the drugs may not be clean after all. Meanwhile, Sabrina's brother Ishaan investigates a mysterious graffiti symbol sprayed on his father Ajeet's office, leading to a startling revelation connecting Ajeet's arrest to a sinister white supremacy group.
