Synopsis:
Little Bird is a six-part limited series about an Indigenous woman on a journey to find her birth family and uncover the hidden truth of her past. Bezhig Little Bird was adopted into a Jewish family at the age of five, becoming Esther Rosenblum. Now in her 20s, Bezhig longs for the family she lost during the “Sixties Scoop.”
Episode Synopsis:
The Land that Takes You: In two timelines, Patti Little Bird fights to get her kids back while two decades later Esther tracks down her birth family. // Bineshi Kwe: Golda comes to the Long Pine Reserve to comfort Esther. Esther’s Indigenous family and Golda find understanding and reconciliation as Golda is welcomed and accepted by Esther’s birth family.
