Membership at the Academy

Our membership consists of 4,000 individuals who support one of the strongest growing industries in Canada. The Academy's members are the core of our professional association and represent a diverse group of dedicated and creative individuals from across Canada and around the world. Members are serviced out of our offices in Toronto, and Montreal.

Our members include executives, performers, directors, writers, craftspeople, as well as others wishing to support the Canadian film, television and digital media industries.

Membership Types We have 4 types of membership: Voting Membership ($150 + tax) Friend Membership ($100 + tax) International Membership ($100) Student Membership ($25 + tax) Read more about Types of Academy Membership Benefits of Joining the Academy VOTING Voting members are responsible for voting for the relevant Annual Awards. EVENTS Exceptional networking opportunities are provided through the Academy Breakfast Club Series, lunch conferences, annual golf tournaments and other industry-partnered events. Members will receive a discounted rate. AWARDS TICKETS Tickets to our Awards ceremonies are available to Voting members at preferential rates. MEMBER OFFERS Our partners will often make special offers for our members. This currently includes free access to Canadian Films in several Canadian cinema chains. NEWSLETTER A monthly e-newsletter and e-blasts provide Academy members with up-to-date information on events, including important information related to the Awards. Academy membership is apolitical and non-lobbying. The Academy's field of activity does not include economic, labour, or political matters.
