Rules & Regulations.

Entry fees depend on submission type, submission date, and entrant membership status. A non-refundable* $130.00 CAD deposit per submission is required at the time of entry; the remaining submission balance will be charged when the entries are vetted by the Academy. Please note that entry fees are subject to applicable tax. For more details, please refer to the respective Rules & Regulations.

*The deposit per submission will be refunded in cases where a subsidy is granted or categories are removed after the time of submission.

An Equity & Inclusion Fund exists to remove cost barriers for any underrepresented industry professional wishing to participate in the Canadian Screen Awards. This fund will provide needs-based assistance for submission fees with 80% of the funds reserved for applicants who are Black, Indigenous, persons of colour, persons with a disability, or those who are members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

The project must be entered for the 2027 Canadian Screen Awards for the Academy to determine eligibility for the subsidy. Upon completion of the subsidy application, a subsidy code will be provided to defer the payment of the $130.00 CAD deposit required to submit the entry.

Subsidy applications will open on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 9, 2026.
